SGCCI hosts a gems and jewellery exhibition in Surat on December 12

In the run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) hosted a gems and jewellery exhibition in Surat on December 12, 2023.

The theme of the exhibition was ‘Jewellery, Gemstones and Gujarat: Renaissance for radiant India’. The exhibition, organised at the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre at Sarsana in Surat, was inaugurated by Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi.

While ASSOCHAM Gujarat Council chairman Chintan Thaker delivered the inaugural speech, SGCCI chairman Ramesh Vaghasiya addressed the gathering at the closing ceremony.

Technical sessions, along with panel discussions, were held on the role of gems and jewellery sector, along with panel discussions on various topics, including ‘Building Brilliance: Gujarat Vision for 2047 and beyond’ and ‘Building Talents: Gujarat vision for 2047 and beyond’.

Technical sessions were held on themes, including ‘Redefining Gems and Jewellery: A vision for Gujarat in tech power transformation’ and ‘Lab Grown Diamonds: A visionary journey for Gujarat’s Next’.
