Arrow Minerals has restarted fieldwork at its Simandou North iron ore project in Guinea.
It said the work programme has several objectives, which include re-logging the drill core, collecting metallurgical samples, and mapping the southern area to connect with the Winning Consortium's Block 1 geology.
Arrow Minerals said that it will re-examine the drill core obtained from its scout drilling campaign.
This step is being taken to ensure that the geological logging is accurate by using the assays they have on hand.
Additionally, it seeks to establish geo-metallurgical domains that will help the company collect metallurgical samples more efficiently.
A series of composite core samples will be collected for consignment to metallurgical laboratories for preliminary metallurgical test work.
The purpose of the test work is to gain a preliminary understanding of the grades and physical sizing of iron ore products that may be produced from the Simandou North mineralisation encountered in drilling.
Arrow Minerals plans to conduct reconnaissance traverses and detailed geological mapping of the Kalako target ridgeline extending 2 km north from the southern tenure boundary for southern area mapping.
