08 february 2024

Anabar Diamonds, a subsidiary of ALROSA, will commence the development of placer gold deposits in two license areas in the Oleneksky ulus (district) of the Republic of Yakutia.

From 2019 to 2023, geological exploration work was carried out at the Borosku-Unguohtakh and Khaptasynnakh-2 sites, as a result of which the first independent gold deposits were discovered with total reserves of the precious metal at 786.6 kg in C1+C2 categories.

In the near future, geologists and miners will begin geological exploration and pilot development at the Haptassynnakh placer deposit.

“This year we will carry out preparatory work for the planned commissioning of the field from 2025,” said Sakhayan Potapov, deputy chief engineer of Anabar Diamonds.
