Two of Norilsk Nickel’s projects won the largest IT award in Russia

08 february 2024

Two IT projects of Norilsk Nickel won the GlobalCIO Project of the Year competition, for which a total of 484 projects were submitted.

The winners in each nomination of the largest IT award, held for the 12th time, were determined based on the results of voting by representatives of the professional IT community.

The Supernika application became the best project of the corporate superapp, while the project of robot migration in Norilsk Nickel from UiPath to PIX RPA without loss of functionality became the best RPA solution of 2023.

The Supernika application is the first corporate superapp for all employees of Norilsk Nickel, which has made more than forty company services available to each of them.

"With such an application, which has no analogues yet in other large Russian companies, we anticipate the future trend of corporate communications. We are creating a seamless digital environment within the company," said Vasily Korneychuk, Project Manager.

The second project is a solution for the migration of Norilsk Nickel's robots from UiPath to PIX RPA without loss of functionality. During the year, the company's team managed to select and implement the Russian PIX RPA software and together with the First Bit IT integrator migrate 102 robots to the new platform.

Both projects were developed on the basis of Russian (import-substituted) technologies, the press service of Norilsk Nickel stressed.
