Nornickel's chairman receives the Director of the Year Award

04 march 2024

The ceremony for the winners of the XVIII Director of the Year National Award was held in Moscow.

The Association of Independent Directors and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) marked the best representatives of companies based on the results of a multifactorial professional rating.

The winner in the "Chairman of the Board of Directors: contribution to the development of corporate governance" nomination was Andrey Bugrov, chairman of the board of directors of Norilsk Nickel.

While presenting the award, president of the RUIE Alexander Shokhin noted that the entire business community should look up to such professionals.

"This year will mark my 30 years of joining various boards of foreign and domestic companies. But besides the rich experience, the factor of my success is Norilsk Nickel itself. The company is a leader in corporate governance, social responsibility and environmental issues. Therefore, my reputation gains support from Norilsk Nickel, of course," Bugrov commented.

Nornickel's chairman had received the "Director of the Year" award previously.
