Nornickel showcases its AI tech at All-Russian exhibition

At the Artificial Intelligence Day of the All-Russian exhibition in Moscow, participants showcased new technologies based on computer vision and machine learning. Norilsk Nickel presented the AI systems used at its enterprises.

Representatives of Kola MMC, a subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel and one of the largest production facilities in the Murmansk Region, spoke about their innovative projects.

Among them is the Rudopotok video analytics system which can monitor ore transportation and raw material quality indicators, as well as the Anti-Collision thermal imaging system, which helps reduce injuries at the enterprise.

"Our employees are actively involved in the development of systems based on artificial intelligence. This is extremely important from the point of view of improving industrial safety. We strive for zero injuries, because our company's employees are the most important resource, so we take care of their health," said Anton Gavrilov, Chief Manager of the Department of Innovation and Digital Technologies at Kola MMC.
