ALROSA to cooperate with Russian software manufacturers for digital transformation

11 june 2024

The Russian diamond mining company ALROSA has entered into cooperation agreements in the field of digital technologies with Russian software companies.

Contracts with 1C and Rostelecom were signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The 1C company, the largest Russian business software developer, will provide an effective production management system for enterprises belonging to the ALROSA group.

“We see advantages in an interface familiar to many users, easy and quick adaptation, regular updates of regulated accounting subsystems and network, and information security mechanisms. One of the important factors is compatibility with domestic databases, operating systems and office software packages,” noted ALROSA’s CEO Pavel Marinychev.

Meanwhile, Rostelecom will work on the digital transformation of the company in such areas as import tech substitution, exchange of information on existing IT solutions, development of mobile solutions and remote access tools, implementation of advanced digital technologies, as well as the use of cloud services and the industrial Internet.

“In the digitalization strategy of companies, the search and promotion of domestic technologies and solutions becomes an important priority. Sharing this approach, Rostelecom and ALROSA are actively involved in the creation and development of product alliances that are aimed at strengthening the Russian economy,” said Valery Ermakov, senior vice president for corporate and government segments of Rostelecom.
