Miners in Yakutia's produced 17 tons of gold in the first half of 2024, which is 9.7% more than the same period of the previous year, the press service of the regional ministry of industry and geology reported.
The ministry said that this year, Yakutia expects to mine at least 50 tons of precious metal in total.
The ministry considers the development of the Kuchus field to be the most promising project in its gold mining industry. The nameplate output capacity of the deposit is 10 tons of pure gold per year.
