Gem Diamonds recovers tenth large diamond at Letšeng

Gem Diamonds has unearthed a 129.71-carat Type II White Diamond at its 70%-owned Letšeng mine in Lesotho.

This is the tenth greater than 100-carat diamond recovered at the mine this year.

The other nine are a 145.55-carat Type II white diamond extracted on 03 August 2024, a 123.20ct Type II white diamond recovered on June 29, a 172.06ct Type II white diamond extracted on June 2, a 212.49ct Type II white diamond retrieved on May 28, a 118.74-ct Type II white diamond extracted on April 30.

It also unearthed a 169.15-ct Type II white diamond on April 18, a 113-carat white Type II diamond on February 17, a 139-carat low-quality boart diamond on January 17, and a 295-carat white Type II diamond on January 8.
