TAGS targets more frequent tenders in Angola next year

Today

Tender house Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) is scheduled to conduct more frequent diamond tenders in Angola next year.

This was revealed in a paper seen by Rough & Polished at the recently ended Angola International Diamond Conference held in Saurimo.

TAGS was selected in 2022 to oversee the establishment and management of rough diamond tenders on behalf of SODIAM and the Angolan government.

Since then, TAGS has conducted five sales on behalf of SODIAM.

It said 7,138 carats were sold at the five tenders, generating an income of about $92 million.

TAGS, which was founded by Anthony Peter in 2017, conducted its first tender in Angola in October 2023.
