Anthony Hirsh, the founder of well-known luxury jeweler Hirsh London, has died, his family said.

Together with his wife, Diane, he established Hirsh London some 44 years ago.

Their aim was to transform jewelry design and led the way in the use of pink diamonds and natural colored gemstones.

The company said in a statement: “It is with profound sadness and much love that we announce the unexpected passing of our dear founder Anthony Hirsh. Those of you that knew him will remember his fun-loving spirit, his creativity, his passion for life, travel, and adventure.”

“We will miss him dearly but take great comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in every piece created here at Hirsh and through our family, friends, wonderful clients, and team.”

Hirsh London’s store is located in the capital’s high-end Mayfair neighborhood.

He was known for his innovative use of color in his jewelry pieces.

Hirsh London is now run by his son Jason and daughter-in-law, Sophia. Hirsh is survived by his children and grandchildren. His wife Diane died in 2022.
