AngloGold produces 696Koz in Q3, reaffirms full-year guidance

Yesterday

AngloGold Ashanti produced 696,000 ounces of gold in the third quarter of 2026, bringing year-to-date group production to almost 2,2 million ounces.

The company reaffirmed its full-year production guidance of 2,800,000 to 3,170,000 ounces, stating year-to-date output is tracking to achieve this target.

The Q3 production figure reflected anticipated grade sequencing across key open pits and short-term operating challenges that the company says have since normalised.

Five assets expanded production year-on-year compared with Q3 2025, led by Sigurit (+49%), Sunrise Dam (+6%), Kibali (+6%), Cuiaba (+4%), and Cerro Vanguardia (+2%).

These gains were offset by year-on-year decreases at Iduapriem (-43%), Obuasi (-26%), Sukari (-21%), Tropicana (-15%), and Geita (-4%).

The drop at Sukari followed a fatal underground rockfall in August, which led to a temporary suspension of operations that have since resumed.

Alongside the production figures, AngloGold generated $722 million in free cash flow for the quarter and expanded its net cash position to $1.26 billion.

The board declared an interim dividend of $361 million, or 71 US cents per share.
