Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. announced production results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2021 from the Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine ("GK Mine"). 1,562,105 carats recovered, 13% lower than Q3 2020, and an 11% decrease relative to Q2 2021 (Q3 2020: 1,794,408 carats recovered, Q2 2021: 1,763,556 carats recovered).

At the 2021 Magnificent Jewels Autumn Sales by Sotheby’s Hong Kong, jewellery pieces studded with fancy colour diamonds were the top performers. The sales garnered around $50 mn led by a fancy vivid blue and pink diamond ring, which sold for around $4.5 mn, and a fancy intense green and white diamond ring, which sold for about $3.05 mn. Loose white diamonds of 20.88 and 30.88 cts also topped the list.
Catoca says no heavy metals in tailings leak that turned DRC river red

Angola's Catoca diamond mine, a joint venture between Angolan State diamond company Endiama and Russia's Alrosa, said no heavy metals were found in a July tailings leak, which turned a river red and killed large numbers of fish downstream in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
De Beers realises $490mln from latest sales cycle

De Beers' eighth sales cycle of 2021 raked in $490 million compared to $522 million realised during the seventh sales cycle of the year, according to Anglo American. The diamond company sold diamonds worth $467 million, a year earlier.
AWDC imports-exports data for September 2021

According to the data released by the AWDC, imports of rough diamonds by Antwerp decreased by 15,67% in September 2021 reaching 6 638 334,72 carats (against 7 872 040,21 carats in September 2020) and rose by 0,12% in value reaching $838 565 435 (against $837 579 426 in 2020).
