Norilsk Nickel finds non-trivial approaches to corporate security management

23 june 2023

The creation of business-oriented security, investments in security digitalization projects, automation of corruption and fraud risk management were discussed by the participants of the scientific and practical conference "Business Security: Modern Challenges" held in Moscow.

"Events dedicated to corporate security, as a rule, are focused on the discussion of mainly pressing issues by the professional community: how to organize effective perimeter protection, ensure the safety of transport infrastructure, train security guards. Perhaps for the first time, the forum focused on topics of a different order: the creation of business-oriented security, investments in security digitalization projects, automation of corruption and fraud risk management," commented Alexey Malinsky, Director of the Norilsk Nickel Investment Project Management and Planning Department, who participated in the forum.

According to him, in the conditions of digitalization of business, it is necessary to reorient investments to create a digital security ecosystem – from anti-fraud systems and work with Big Data and up to the use of artificial intelligence capabilities.

The conference participants came to the conclusion that effective corporate protection is impossible without a constant dialogue of security services with related departments.

"This approach is the basis for the development of the system of situational centers – one of the key elements of the control and management of the safety of the enterprises of the Norilsk Nickel group," Malinsky said.

The scientific and practical conference "Business security: modern challenges" was attended by the profile heads of the leading Russian enterprises of the mining and metallurgical industry, the Bank of Russia and regulatory agencies, sgnorilsk.ru reported.
