PPE for employees of Norilsk Nickel is supplied by domestic enterprises

05 july 2023

For more than a year, the Russian market has existed without major foreign manufacturers of personal protective equipment (PPE). Due to the difficult geopolitical situation, suppliers had to quickly reorient themselves to the domestic market.

For the company Norilsk Nickel one of the key suppliers of personal protective equipment is LLC "Trading house "Plasmamash".

"Recently, we conducted comparative studies of gas filters on an indicator that is relevant for metallurgical enterprises – the time of protective action for sulfur dioxide. The test results showed that domestic gas filters comply with regulatory requirements, are not inferior to foreign analogues that have left the market and even surpass them," said Alexander Komarov, Deputy General Director of the Plasmamash trading house.

High requirements for the quality of products are not a whim of the consumer, but a necessity dictated by the working conditions at Norilsk Nickel enterprises. What is suitable for the middle part of Russia is not always functional for the weather conditions of Norilsk. Therefore, in the Polar branch of the company, the issue of choosing personal protective equipment is always approached with special attention.
