ALROSA spent 2.5 billion rubles on social programs for employees in 2022

07 august 2023

In 2022, ALROSA allocated 2.5 billion rubles ($25 million) on social support programs for employees related to health, leisure, sports and recreation, as well as improving housing conditions. This was reported by the press service of the company.

ALROSA has been implementing such programs since 2012 and they are an addition to the social package of employees: they can be used not only by the employees themselves, but also by their families.

The programs help ALROSA employees to receive high-quality medical care, relax in sanatoriums, and send their children on summer holidays. In addition, the company creates conditions for sports and creativity for employees and their families. The company has more than 20 sports and cultural facilities in the cities of the diamond province where it operates. It also provides certain housing programs for select employees.

"For more than 10 years, our company has been implementing four social programs for employees and their families. About 90% of our employees live and work in Yakutia, a remote region with a harsh climate, and our task is to make their lives more comfortable so that they can go to qualified doctors, to improve their health in a sanatorium, to engage in sports or creativity, or to be able to purchase their own housing faster," said Olga Makarova, Deputy General Director and HR Director of ALROSA.
