07 september 2023

The Ministry of Transport of Russia has approved a new list of shipwrecks that are subject to mandatory removal. The list includes 204 vessels, including three in the Murmansk region, b-port.com reports.

In particular, the ship "Breeze" and two other unnamed vessels located in the Kola Bay are subject to removal. The document states that they pose a marine pollution threat.

The obligation to remove ships is assigned to the owners of the sunken property, but there is no information about the shipowner for many objects.

According to the Ministry of Transport, work on the removal of wrecks included in the list is planned to be carried out in 2023-2027.
