The Russian military, as part of the work to eliminate environmental damage in the Arctic, transported more than 31,000 tons of scrap metal to the mainland.
According to TASS, this was announced at a thematic conference call by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
"During the navigation period, we continued to work on eliminating environmental damage in the Arctic. In total, since the beginning of the project, more than 31,000 tons of scrap metal have been transported to the mainland," he said.
