Rosneft and the non-governmental Innopraktika Institute for Development have jointly created an online course of popular science lectures "Flying over the ice. Seabirds of the Russian Arctic".
Scientists from the country's leading scientific center, the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, took part in the creation of the series.
During the lectures listeners will learn a lot about the main bird species living in the Arctic and the threats they face.
Since 2020, Rosneft, as part of a corporate program for the conservation of key bioindicator species of Arctic ecosystems, has been conducting research on the population of the white gull, a rare bird listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, in hard-to-reach polar regions.
