Greenland iceberg ice supplied to the UAE

11 january 2024

Greenland startup Arctic Ice supplies ice from the fjords of Greenland to exclusive cocktail bars in the United Arab Emirates, mk.ru reports.

Greenland ice, which has been pressed in natural conditions for thousands of years, is completely devoid of bubbles and melts more slowly than ordinary ice. It is also cleaner than the frozen mineral water commonly used to create coctail ice cubes.

"This ice is extracted directly from the natural glaciers of the Arctic, which have been frozen for more than 100,000 years. These areas of the ice sheet did not come into contact with any soil and were not exposed to pollutants formed as a result of human activity. This makes the Arctic ice the purest H20 on Earth," the company's representatives say.

The main goal of the startup is to create new sources of income for Greenland, which is heavily financially dependent on Denmark.
