Research and educational youth center commissioned in Arkhangelsk

A year-round youth educational center “Science” has opened in Arkhangelsk. It is designed to develop the scientific and research skills of talented youth in Russia.

The center's activities will be focused on implementing the initiatives of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.

“The Arkhangelsk region specializes in scientific research and the involvement of young people in the scientific field and the development of technologies for industry, including for the development of the Arctic,” TASS quotes the executive director of the center, Oleg Minchuk, as saying.

“We have opened a center that will run several tracks. It is, firstly, for promoting the development of research skills of young scientists and students. Secondly, there is the acceleration of projects, primarily technological projects and developments for large industrial enterprises in the Russian Arctic. And thirdly, it is meant to popularize science among young people.”
