Participants of the youth forum "Arctic. The ice has moved" has cleared of waste the place where the world-class interuniversity campus Arctic Star will be built.
The campaign launched the fourth cleaning season of the Clean Arctic public environmental project.
The future campus will be built next to the shore of the Northern Dvina River in Arkhangelsk. Most of the waste collected here is plastic and glass bottles, disposable tableware, meat trays, car tires and construction debris. "We have been supporting the Clean Arctic project for several years now. Large-scale cleaning in the regions unites people and teaches them to take care of nature and ecology. To keep your favorite vacation spots clean and tidy, you don't have to be a volunteer or an environmental activist, you need to follow one simple rule - clean up after yourself," commented Evgeny Shidlovsky, Acting Director General of the regional operator EcoIntegrator.
