A waste recycling complex to be built in Apatity for 1.7 billion rubles

A production complex for waste processing will be built in Apatity, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic reported.

Investments in the project will exceed 1.7 billion rubles, it is assumed that 220 jobs will be opened at the enterprise.

The new plant should completely recycle all waste from the local energy enterprise, as well as completely eliminate the dumps accumulated for over 20 years. The nameplate capacity of the project will be about 150,000 tons of waste per year.

According to investors, the company uses Russian equipment.

By the end of 2023, the Murmansk Region took the eighth place in Russia in terms of the volume of waste from enterprises in the region.
