From September 1, 2025, domestic producers of lemonade and energy drinks, as well as foreign suppliers of olive oil and beer, will have to use a different packaging instead of the currently non-recyclable one.
The list of goods, the production and use of which will be banned, was approved in October this year.
As for translucent blue, green, brown and opaque white plastic bottles, they are not prohibited. They, like simple transparent bottles, are most easily collected and recycled.
The ban does not yet apply to PVC shrink wrap applied to plastic bottles – for example, on yoghurts. The authorities expect to consider banning it later, so that manufacturers have time to choose a more environmentally friendly replacement, reports nia.eco.
