Rostec presents avionic complex for landing on drifting Arctic ice

07 february 2025

The High-Precision Systems holding company of the Rostec state corporation presented an information and landing system at the NAIS-2025 exhibition, thanks to which small aircraft will be able to land even on drifting ice.

"It [the information and landing system] will help small aircraft land safely, including in difficult weather conditions. The compact size of the complex will make it possible to turn almost any flat area into an airfield - even drifting ice," the corporation said in a statement, as cited by TASS.

The complex includes two interacting units. The first is integrated into the onboard equipment of the aircraft. The second is deployed on the ground on special tripods. The solution is relevant for remote regions not equipped with airfields.
