In addition to Russians, foreigners also want to become volunteers of the Green Arctic project. Residents of Afghanistan, Belgium and Mexico are among those who expressed a wish to participate, said Evgeny Rozhkovsky, chairman of the environmental organization.
"On March 22, the application campaign for the Green Arctic projects ended. We received applications from 58 regions of Russia, as well as from citizens of 11 other countries. 592 applications: 207 from men and 385 from women. We need to recruit 90 volunteers," Rozhkovsky said.
According to him, among those interested are residents of neighboring countries, as well as citizens of Portugal, Belgium, Mexico, Afghanistan, and Israel.
The organizers warned that the projects required men and women from 20 to 45 years old. At the same time, one or two participants were selected for each squad without age restrictions (but not younger than 18 years old). Feedback was expected from those who have volunteer, sports, and travel experience, without any health restrictions, sever-press.ru notes.
