According to Sergey Kulikov, chairman of the Board of Rusnano, the company focuses on chemistry and materials, energy and logistics, ecology, infrastructure and security.
“Science remains our top priority,” he explained.
“We... launched a federal project of university technological entrepreneurship two years ago. Its indicators are also very interesting: they covered 430 universities, 30,000 projects have already been completed, 600 of which have become patent holders, achieved RIA [results of intellectual activity]. 800,000 students, postgraduates and scientists are participating in this project.”
Also, according to him, Rusnano received support from a number of partners, including Gazprom Neft, Energomash, Interros and Norilsk Nickel.
“Interros and Norilsk Nickel have introduced us to man-made mineral formations,” Kulikov noted. “We... tested about five or six technologies, also from the Soviet legacy.”
“And now we, along with Vladimir Olegovich Potanin, are planning to begin construction of the first small plant, in order to demonstrate, first of all, that ecology can be attractive as investment - not only useful, but also profitable," he concluded.
