The Forum on Industrial safety and labor Protection held in Norilsk

27 october 2025
The third forum "Industrial Safety and Labor Protection. Contractors. From control to Partnership" was held in Norilsk.
For two days, 70 representatives of contractor organizations participated in joint trainings with managers and specialists of Norilsk Nickel.
The main purpose of the forum was to demonstrate to contractors that it is possible to work on equal terms. "It may seem that we are on different sides of the same line. But in fact, we have one common value – people. After all, our business and the business of those who come to work in Norilsk depend on these people, on their professional qualities. But it is impossible to assemble such a team without providing them with proper comfort and safety. And the contractors who work on our territory become "our" people. Therefore, we provide third-party organizations with the same treatment and attention as the company's employees. This is the only way to build mutually beneficial work," says Stanislav Seleznev, Vice President for Ecology and Industrial Safety at Norilsk Nickel.
Since the summer of this year, the company has implemented a rating assessment of labor protection and industrial safety contractors at the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant.
"There is a point system in the rating - an assessment of the contractor's level. In the future, we hope this criterion will become an important factor in conducting tenders," said Nadezhda Platonova, Director of the Directorate for Industrial Safety and Labor Protection at Norilsk Nickel.
