Starting from June 1, 2026, Russia introduces a new standard for drill pipes used in boring units with removable core receivers.
Russian state standard (GOST) R 72572-2026 applies to steel pipes intended for drilling exploration wells in solid minerals (precious metals, precious stones, etc.), and threads for these pipes.
The standard stipulates that drill pipes must be fireproof, explosion-proof, non-toxic, electrically safe and environmentally friendly, and must not pose a radiation hazard.
At the same time, special safety measures are not required during transportation and storage of pipes.
