Luk Fook’s jewellery sales fell 8% in Q4 fiscal

Due to Covid restrictions Hong Kong-based jeweler Luk Fook’s same-store sales fell 8% in the fourth fiscal quarter. Same-store sales dipped 17% year-on-year in Hong Kong and Macau for the three months ending March 31. While same-store sales of gold products slid 17% during the quarter, fixed-price jewelry decreased by 18%.

The Russian Federation Ministry of Finance reported that gold production in Russia in January-February amounted to 38,90 tons (January-February 2021 – 38,09 tons), including mining – 32,24 tons (January- February 2021 – 30,77 tons), associated – 2,62 tons (January- February 2021 – 2,80  tons), secondary – 4,04 tons (January- February 2021 – 4,52 tons).
